At 23,400 the clutch went out. Took it to the dealer for inspection and repair. Took it back the next morning, it was too late for them to look at. The trip home and back to the dealership was all it took to completely ruin the clutch. Dealer said they could not determine if it was a manufacturing defect and charged me $ 397.00, split the bill. I believe the pressure plate was not flat and that is the reason for the short life. Service manager on the day after the repair said the parts were returned to Kia for warranty credit and I could not have a local cluthc shop inspect the pressure plate for defect. I can not place fair in Kia's warranty. I was a mechanic and there are too many unanswered questions to allow the clutch to fail with such low mileage.
